Planning your Event

Picture

Engaging Kate as celebrant at your event, whether your marriage, or any other ceremony, allows for a wide variety of options for the structure of the ceremony, its location and who will be involved. Its good planning will also ensure that it will run smoothly.

Kate will hold an initial meeting with you where we can discuss your ideas for the ceremony.

Weddings
If it is a wedding, Kate will explain the legal requirements, her role as authorised celebrant. She will provide you with guidance where required and offer suggestions for location and your actual ceremony.

She will  also show you her wedding portfolio which contains sample vows, vow templates, readings, poems, useful websites, an explanation of copyright laws, information regarding name change and relationship education contact information. Once your wedding is booked and you have paid an initial deposit Kate will provide a copy of this information for you to take away.

At least a month before the planned wedding Kate will meet you to  sight original or verified copies of all necessary documents before the completion of the  legal forms, in particular the The Notice of Intended Marriage Form and Declaration Form. At this time we will also run through the precise details for planning your ceremony.

Your wedding is your special day. Kate will do her very best to make it exactly what you want it to be.

By law the bride and groom must have two witnesses over 18 years of age to witness the ceremony and vows. The witnesses do not need to be known by the couple. Once that requirement is met, you may have as many people involved in the ceremony as you desire.
